It's our second week in this portion of the book of Exodus, known as the Book of the Covenant. These laws provide guidance in various situations and emphasize the importance of understanding God's nature and character as the motivator for following His commands. It also highlights God's values such as order, purity, care for the disadvantaged, and the offering of one's best worship to Him.
