As the 4th sign comes upon Egypt, Pharaoh once again acknowledges that only Yahweh has the power to restore order. However, Pharaoh is still desperate to hang on to his power and believes he has the authority to enter into negotiations with the Almighty. Meanwhile, God’s great mercy is on display as He makes a ‘distinction’ between His people, and Egypt.
